To raise funds for the 2010 general election, Southport Liberal Democrats are holding a special gala dinner to commemorate the centenary of the 1910 general election.

Baron De Forest was the Liberal candidate in the January 1910 general election, which remains the most bitter and strenuously fought electoral struggle in the history of the Division. We will be telling the entertaining and fascinating story of dirty tricks and more, in an age when voters attended political rallies in their thousands.
